The Story of Prophet Sulaiman (A.S.) in English

Prophet Sulaiman (A.S.) was a great prophet of Allah and the son of Prophet Dawud (A.S.). He was known for his wisdom, intelligence, and justice. Allah granted him exceptional knowledge, a vast kingdom, and the ability to understand the language of animals and birds.

The Special Blessings of Sulaiman (A.S.)

Allah did not only give him control over humans but also over jinn, animals, birds, and even the wind. He could communicate with birds and command jinn to perform various tasks.

The Story of the Ants

Once, Prophet Sulaiman (A.S.) was traveling with his mighty army. On their way, a colony of ants was present. One ant warned the others:
“O ants! Enter your homes quickly so that Sulaiman and his army do not crush you unknowingly!”
Sulaiman (A.S.) heard this and smiled, thanking Allah for granting him such a unique blessing.

The Hoopoe Bird and Queen Sheba

One day, Prophet Sulaiman (A.S.) noticed that the hoopoe bird was missing from his army. He said that if the bird did not have a valid reason for its absence, it would be punished.
After some time, the hoopoe returned and informed him about a kingdom ruled by a queen named Sheba (Saba). She had a magnificent kingdom, but her people worshipped the sun instead of Allah.
Sulaiman (A.S.) sent a letter inviting her to accept Islam. At first, she wanted to test Sulaiman (A.S.), but later, she realized he was a true prophet and embraced Islam.

Bringing the Throne of Queen Sheba

After Queen Sheba accepted the invitation, Sulaiman (A.S.) wanted to demonstrate Allah’s power. He asked his assembly,
“Who can bring me the queen’s throne before she arrives?”
A powerful jinn replied, “I can bring it before you rise from your seat.”
However, a man who had special knowledge from Allah said, “I will bring it in the blink of an eye.” Instantly, the queen’s throne appeared before Sulaiman (A.S.).

The Death of Sulaiman (A.S.)

One day, by Allah’s command, Prophet Sulaiman (A.S.) stood in prayer, leaning on his staff. During this time, he passed away, but no one realized it. Even the jinn continued their work, thinking he was alive.
Much later, when a termite chewed through his staff, his body fell to the ground, revealing that he had died long ago.
