Arabic:

قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

Transliteration:

Tafsir (Explanation):Context Verse:

This verse is part of the story of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham, عليه السلام) when angels visited him in the form of human guests. They gave him and his wife, Sarah (عليها السلام), the glad tidings of a son, Prophet Ishaq (Isaac, عليه السلام), despite their old age.

Key Points from Tafsir:

1. Divine Decree:

When Sarah (عليها السلام) expressed astonishment at the news due to her old age, the angels reassured her that it was Allah’s command.

Allah’s decrees are based on His infinite wisdom and knowledge, and nothing is impossible for Him.

2. Allah’s Attributes (Al-Hakim, Al-Alim):

Al-Hakim (الحكيم) – The All-Wise: Allah’s decisions are always perfect and just.

Al-Alim (العليم) – The All-Knowing: Allah knows everything—past, present, and future.

3. Lesson in Tawakkul (Trust in Allah):

This verse teaches that believers should trust in Allah’s plans, even when something seems impossible by worldly standards.

Just as Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام) and Sarah (عليها السلام) were granted a child in their old age, Allah can grant miracles to anyone at any time.

4. Connection to the Message of Surah Az-Zariyat:

The surah emphasizes Allah’s power and control over the universe, using examples from , past nations, and His divine decrees.

The story of Ibrahim (عليه السلام) serves as a reminder of Allah’s mercy and ability to change situations according to His wisdom.

Reflection:

Never lose hope in Allah’s mercy, even when things seem impossible.

Trust in Allah’s wisdom—whatever He decrees is always best for us.

Miracles happen by Allah’s command, and His knowledge surpasses human understanding.
