Surah Al-Fath Ayat 5 (48:5) in Arabic, Transliteration, Translation, and Tafsir

1. Arabic:
لِيُدْخِلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًۭا

2. Transliteration:
Liyudkhila al-mu’mineena wal-mu’minaati jannaatin tajree min tahtiha al-anhaaru khaalideena feeha wa yukaffira ‘anhum sayyi’aatihim; wa kaana dhaalika ‘indal laahi fawzan ‘azeema

3. English Translation:
“So that He may admit the believing men and believing women to Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein forever, and remove from them their misdeeds. And ever is that, in the sight of Allah, a great attainment.” (Surah Al-Fath 48:5)

4. Tafsir (Explanation)

This verse highlights Allah’s promise to the believers who remain steadfast in faith and righteousness.

1. Admission to Paradise: Allah grants believing men and women entry into Jannah (Gardens) where rivers flow beneath, signifying eternal bliss and peace. This reward is reserved for those who have faith and act upon it.

2. Eternal Abode: The believers will live in these gardens forever, implying that Paradise is a permanent reward, unlike worldly pleasures that are temporary.

3. Forgiveness of Sins: Allah, in His immense mercy, will remove the sins of the believers, purifying them before entering Paradise.

4. Greatest Success: The verse concludes by affirming that this is the greatest triumph—attaining Allah’s pleasure and securing a place in Jannah is the ultimate success.

This verse serves as motivation for Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and actions, as the ultimate reward is far greater than any hardship faced in this world.
